The Land Grid Method (LGM)
The Land Grid Method (LGM) was developed through Approved Site Investigations Ltd (ASI) to offer new and forward looking methods of on-site remediation.
Our aim is to reduce costs to the developer & homeowner by redefining the boundaries of standard site remediation practises.
We offer a range of contaminated land remediation techniques,
through our Phase 3 Site Remediation Reports that will give YOU
substantial costs reductions, as opposed to standard site clean-up
methods.
Shallow depths and a tough geo-grid break layer reduce haulage
to landfill sites and saves you money. Brownfield sites contaminated
with heavy metals now have new construction potential.
The Land Grid Method can be employed where open ground such as lawns, parks, embankments or other soft landscaping features are intended for the public or end-users (homeowners), including gardens.
Haulage is dramatically reduced by leaving contaminated soil horizons in-situ and thus reducing carbon emissions through less road haulage.
The intention of this new strategy is to address the government's
demands for new on-site remediation. Re-development of Brownfield
sites can only take place, if costs are lowered and standards
of health and safety are met with regards contamination issues.
By utilising our remediation techniques we are able to compliment the whole process as well as provide additional services which result in these dramatic cost savings.
Features
Less removal of potentially contaminated ground to landfill
sites.- Attractive landscaping features made possible, in areas usually set aside for hard standing.
- Addresses current government legislation for the safe re-development of contaminated sites
Advantages
Low carbon footprint. - Less disruption of local infrastructure i.e. roads.
- Lower burden on landfill sites. Promotion of an ecologically sound approach to site remediation.
- Potentially higher sales through high demand for green products.
Benefits
Dramatic cost savings- Brownfield sites become potentially viable.
- Lower pollution through haulage.
- Faster remediation than current removal methods.
